"You only live once, but if you work it right, once is enough" - Joe Lewis
It's been 2 days since I've returned, and I'm in the midst of trying to get my modules for this coming semester which is quite a drag. Not sure what modules to take, unsuccessful bidding, time-table clashes etc., part and parcel of life.
The time I spent in Europe, though short, was very enriching as it taught me many things that I would probably not learn in any classroom and it also opened my eyes to other cultures and other ways of life. Funny that I actually interacted more with people from the other parts of Europe rather than the British themselves but I must say most of them really impress me with their knowledge, their awareness of the world and their perceptions. It has made me reflect about the society in which I live and also made me think about my future a bit more.
And of course there were all the new things I did (at least new to me) - club, drink (probably more in those months than in my whole life combined), make sushi, drink gluehwein, go for a house party, in addition to all the many sights that I saw. It was a costly experience, it terms of dollars and cents, or perhaps more aptly in this case, pounds and penny. I thank my parents for giving me this opportunity because many things gained, money can't quite buy it all.
Thank you to all of you who have been reading my blog throughout my exchange in London, hope it has been fun for you, if not at least updating you on my life in the UK. This and all your comments have been part of the whole experience as well.
Here's wishing all of you a Happy 2005, may you have a fulfilling year ahead and may God always be with you.
